~Dance4Him Policies and Procedures~
|
DANCE4HIM desires to put Christ first in everything we do; and we see this studio as a ministry. We also believe that as Christians we should always strive for excellence. In an attempt for excellence, in fairness to all families, and to avoid some problems we've had in the past, we ask that you read and abide by these Policies & Procedures. We serve a God of order, and we desire to operate this ministry with orderliness. Thank you for your cooperation.
1. All students and their parent/guardian must read these policies, and sign a registration/release form BEFORE participation will be allowed. "Guest" participation permitted ONLY with a signed release form.
2. OPEN ENROLLMENT is from May through February 1 each year. However, students enrolling after Sept. 30 will NOT be eligible for Fall Recital, and those who enroll after Jan. 5 will not be eligible for the Spring Recital. 3. TUITION is due the 1st week of each month. Please put dancer's name in the "memo" section of checks, and place in the mailbox inside our office. If you miss class that week, please mail your tuition to DANCE4HIM 410 N Auburn, Farmington, 87401. (Credit cards are not accepted: cash and checks only.) Please communicate any problems making your payment to avoid possibly losing your place in class. In the event of a returned check, you will be assessed the same fees DANCE4HIM incurred from the bank. 4. August, December, and May are the ONLY prorated months. Dec. tuition will be paid with Aug., at the beginning of the year. Tuition will NOT be prorated for any other month, for any reason, including sickness, vacations, weather, or scheduled studio closures. Students are welcome to take a "level appropriate" make up class for missed classes. 5. Registration fees, first month tuition, costume fees, and recital fee money is NON REFUNDABLE. 6. DO NOT, at any time, park in the apartments behind the studio. Children under age 11 will not be released to the parking lot. Parents must come into the studio to retrieve their child. 7. DANCE4HIM is not responsible for children outside of class; before or after their class time. 8. Students must be picked up promptly after class, or you may be assessed a fee of $5 for every 10 minutes you are late. Please notify us at 402-9112 if you expect to be late. 9. **RECITALS** Please make attendance and timeliness a priority throughout the year. Recitals are always optional, but if you desire to participate in the recitals, attendance is MANDATORY 4 weeks prior to the show, and Dress Rehearsals are mandatory as well. Anyone missing these practices, without prior OK from Kim, may be dismissed from the recital without refund of money. Please check your calendar before committing. Anyone who misses 2 practice in the 8 weeks prior to recitals may be dismissed from the recital, to ensure we can have a recital of excellence. *DANCE4HIM offers 2 recitals each year: The Fall showis the presentation of "The Dream," which tells the passionate story of Christ's life. The Spring recital is a "Celebration" of the year, and each class will perform 2 dances. EACH recital requires a Family Recital Fee of $35 to cover the costs of the theatre rental, programs, chaperones, music, and other related expenses. By charging a flat family fee, we do not charge for tickets, and dancers are welcome to invite as many people as they desire, to enjoy these FREE shows. THE SPRING RECITAL requires and ADDITIONAL FEE for costumes, that each dancer keeps at the end of it, whereas the the Fall show requires only minimum "accessory" purchases, and the costumes belong to DANCE4HIM. *In an attempt to avoid problems we've had in the past, we now require all dancers to pay May's tuition, and the Recital Fee by May 1. Failure to pay these fees by May 1, will result in dismissal from the May recital. (There will be no refunds for costume fees in the event of dismissal from the recital.) 10. Class placement is at the discretion of DANCE4HIM staff. Participation in DWAM is on an audition/invitation basis only. Please address any questions or concerns, in private, to Kim. 11.Students and/or parents are responsible for receivingcurrent DANCE4HIM NEWS and NOTICES on our website @ dance4him.com or posted in the Lobby at the studio on a monthly basis. 12. All dancers should use the BATHROOM, BEFORE class begins. D4H staff will not prohibit any student from using the bathroom during class, however, it is a great distraction to the structure of the class time. (Consider the fact that our younger dancers only have 45 minute classes. Parents, please MAKE them use the bathroom BEFORE class.) 13. Always bring a WATER BOTTLE, as we do not have a water fountain. (Little Lamb and combo classes will NOT receive a water break to better maximize our class time, however, they should have a water bottle for before and after class.) 14.***DRESS CODE***(Please try to have a sense of modesty and be considerate when the opposite sex is in the studio. Please "cover up" before and after class to set a positive example in our community.)
